My Spray Gun
It will not make a pattern. Whatever I do I just get a round
blob when I shoot a test spray at a surface. A forum friend
suggested it may be a problem from way back in the factory - some holes
not machined perhaps.
But everything looks pretty okay in that regard - to me, with
what little I know (like: nothing). The airholes in the 'horns'
of the nozzle I have tested - because you can't see through them - and
I find water, at least, passes through okay.
As best I can understand the design the airhorns are fed air only
around the periphery of the construction and only when the pattern
needle blocks that central main hole you can see in the 'Air Holes'
picture there. At that time the air goes through both of the two
lateral holes there (both of which are clear, I checked with a
matchstick) and is free to go round the periphery, as I say, and that
takes it to those two holes feeding the 'air horns'.
Well, in that case maybe the air horns only operate at the very end of
the adjusting screw's run - when it is virtually right home.
Is that normal I wonder.... Or have I misread what's happening....
